Can our hero Jack, helped (and hindered) by his brother Willy and his mum Dame Trott, hatch a plan to defeat the Giant and save the village?

Look Behind You

Directed By Stuart Lawson

This tragicomic panto-within-a-play is set over the holiday period at a crumbling provincial theatre, chronicling both the on- and off-stage lives of the cast and crew of a repertory production that is rapidly going downhill, even on the opening night.

Among the many delightful characters are Anastasia Crabbe, a fading movie star; an actor fresh from drama school; Bernie the has-been puppeteer, his puppet Monkey; a weather girl-turned-leading lady who is soon way in over her head.

Holding the show together are Maggie the stage manager and Tom, the theatre’s owner. Since the death of his partner the previous year, Tom has been trying to keep the theatre afloat, but external financial pressures and the increasing antics backstage are a poignant counterpoint to the hilarious antics interspersed onstage during the pantomime.

The Lion in Winter

Directed by Susi Walker & John Evans

Sibling rivalry, adultery and dungeons, this play by James Goldman, is a modern day classic. Comedic in tone, dramatic in action, the play tells the story of the Plantagenet family who are locked in a free-for-all of competing ambitions to inherit a kingdom.

The queen, and wealthiest woman in the world, Eleanor of Aquitaine has been kept in prison since raising an army against her husband, King Henry II. Let out only for holidays, the play centres around the inner conflicts of the royal family as they fight over both a kingdom, as well as King Henry’s paramour during the Christmas of 1183. As Eleanor says, “every family has its ups and downs,” and this royal family is no exception.

Cash on Delivery

Directed by Darren Scott

Michael Cooney’s riotous farce has all the ingredients for rib-tickling hilarity and offers a colourful selection of character roles.

Eric Swan (aided by his Uncle George and unbeknown to his wife, Linda) has pocketed "thousan’s of pounds" through fraudulent DSS claims. When Norman Bassett (the lodger) opens the door to Mr Jenkins, the DSS inspector, deceptive mayhem follows — as do the undertaker, bereavement counsellor, psychiatrist, Norman’s finance, a corpse, the ominous Ms Cowper and a rather rebellious washing machine.

James and the Giant Peach (PYT)

Directed by Callum Roberts & Hannah Farquharson

Our Priory Youth Theatre returns with David Wood's adaption of Roald Dahl's classic tale. Directed by Callum Roberts & Hannah Farquharson, James and the Giant Peach sees the classic tale faithfully told by James himself and the insect characters – Miss Spider, Old-Green-Grasshopper, Centipede, Ladybird and Earthworm. The play begins at the end of the story, when James and his friends are living in the giant peach stone in Central Park, New York.

A tour guide brings a party of tourists (the audience) to see this major attraction, and James and his friends tell the story of how they came to live in New York. The insects play the other roles, like James’s cruel Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker, and the epic journey across the Atlantic is acted out with live action, puppetry and storytelling.

Queen Extreme

Ian has played in many bands for years performing as a lead vocalist & is also an established musician who can play guitar & bass guitar respectively as well.

He has performed mainly in covers/party/function bands but has always been at heart a big huge fan of Queen!

While performing Queen songs with bands & as a solo artist, it couldn't help go unnoticed that the Queen songs always seem to stand out in the shows performances & go down the best with audiences.

Through this & Ian's love for Queen & Freddie Mercury's music, in 2014 he conceived the prospect of becoming a Tribute to the great man & the legendary band himself. A huge task.

After months of rehearsals & a lot of hard work behind closed doors to start with, Ian went about studying & perfecting all Freddie's mannerisms & his amazing charismatic presence as a great performer. Along with this invested in top lighting & affects along with specially made Freddie stage outfits, to make for a full on fantastic professional tribute show!

Ian started perfecting his fast paced up tempo & charismatic live shows in 2015 to which was fantastically received by audiences.

Since Ian has gone from strength to strength establishing himself a fantastic Freddie Mercury tribute artist with his amazing live band.

Beauty & The Beast

Directed by Mark Jefferies

Once upon a time, there was a handsome but selfish Prince, selfish in the extreme, without a thought for any other living creature.

An Old Lady visits his castle and offers him a beautiful rose, a symbol of the love and loyalty his subjects have for him. The selfish Prince shuns her as grotesque and worthless, whereupon she transforms into a beautiful Sorceress.

Angered by his arrogance at judging simply by appearance, she turns him into a hideous Beast for five hundred years, a spell that can only be broken when he learns to love and win the love of another.

So ashamed of his grotesque form, the Beast hides himself away.  If anything, the passing years make him more bitter and ferocious than ever before.  Will he ever win the love of another and break the spell…..?

All will be revealed in this magical Priory panto, full of spectacular scenery, gorgeous costumes and hilarious slapstick fun!
