Join local historian Adam Wood as he reveals long-forgotten stories of deeply disturbing events from Kenilworth’s past, where something has been experienced over the centuries.
Tales include the Victorian ghost which rose from the depths of the earth to terrorise the town’s inhabitants for a decade, and the heart-rending muffled cries of a newborn, murdered by its mother but whose sobs have been heard from beyond the grave. We’ll hear of the cottage where heavy footsteps warn inhabitants that an unseen former occupant is ascending the staircase, and of the rasping breathing heard in New Street when nobody is around.
And, it goes without saying, the resident phantoms of the Priory Theatre itself. Will they join us on the night?
