CHARITY NIGHTS AT THE PRIORY THEATRE

Over the last twelve years the Priory Theatre's Charity Night packages have raised over £100,000 for local charities. 35 charities booked charity nights for the theatre's Millennium season which ran from March 1999 until December 2000.

Charity Organiser Anita Dalton says, "We are delighted that this idea has grown over the years and is still raising large sums of money for our local charities. Several hundred pounds a night can be raised by charities using the Priory's facilities, and we would be delighted to assist them. The theatre now has disabled facilities as a result of a Lottery Grant, and we can welcome those charities who may have had difficulty in accessing the many stairs the theatre had before. The Priory offers Charities a variety of options, such as a buffet with or without wine, and with a seating capacity of 119 seats, the Priory Theatre is an ideal venue for a smaller charity needing to raise funds".
