In 2011 Godspell commemorated its 40th anniversary. To celebrate, the Priory Theatre revisited this spellbinding, unique and contemporary view of the Gospel according to St Matthew. A joyous celebration of music, comedy and drama.
With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, The Bakers Wife, Pippin, Children of Eden), Godspell has includes the hit songs Day by Day, Prepare ye (the Way Of the Lord) and By My Side.
This worldwide smash-hit musical was one for all the family, spreading joy, happiness and hope to all who were enchanted by its toe-tapping spell.
